Talk is Still Cheap!

Some of you may have taken a listen the last time I was a guest on The Groovy Podcast and didn't quite get your fill. If you're still craving an hour or so of me running my fat mouth about a wide variety of movies and stars, you can do so again with this latest installment! I was initially going to appear for just a few minutes at the end to help question Family Affair's Kathy Garver about some of her TV guest appearances (on series including The Big Valley), but when some technical snafus prevented her from appearing, I wound up as an impromptu fill-in guest. (I'm the Charo of the podcast world.) We chatter on about recommended summer movies and a whole host of other things. This was actually recorded prior to Memorial Day and wasn't necessarily going to be released, but lunacy prevailed and now it's out there. Ha! I'm working on a regular post and will be back with it soon, my loves!  Thanks.

Poseidon "Speaks." Just finished listening to the podcast. Great fun, very dishy, too. But really enjoyed listening to you. Great sounding voice and of course, you're full of lots of fascinating info.

Thank you SO much for taking the time to listen to that and for commenting so kindly! It was a very impromptu conversation, but I told the host that once we got started, there would be things to natter on about...! So few of my "real life" friends give the slightest hoot about any of it, so it's fun to touch base with others who are into the vintage stuff. Thanks again!

This was a fun listen (cusswords!), ditto on your voice, it's good for "radio". Oddly I have the same resistance to men in sandals as your hostess, they freak me out lol. Sorry she didn't get Kathy Garver but you guys more than filled the time. I had heard mention of Merle Oberon's skin and thought it was acne, not that she'd had a burn. Poor thing. I LOVED the way she looked in "Hotel" didn't know those were her jewels, she looked great dead in the elevator. It is great to find folks interested in this stuff, I only have one real life friend, but thankfully many more in the underworld.

I meant one friend in real life who likes this stuff, not that I only have one real life friend, I swear! (sob)

LOLOL I knew what you meant, pumpkin. We classic movie & TV buffs have to stick together. We're like pushpins on a map... only so many here and there. As for Kathy Garver, it was all set to go, but she only had a half hour, period. But she also wanted to use a regular phone, not Skype, and the other three of us were on Skype. By the time it was all hammered out, there were only about ten minutes left and it didn't seem feasible or worthwhile to spend only that much time with her. Hopefully it can someday be rescheduled. And I too LOVE the way Merle looks in "Hotel." Can't get enough of her character in it.
