Today is Good Friday and Easter is in two days. Have you got your Easter bonnet all picked out? To aid you with inspiration, I give you a selection of famous ladies in their millinery finery. Do you have any favorites? True, some of these are just hats and not Easter bonnets, but why carp? Don't rain on my (Easter) parade! The day has mostly passed when a lady wears a hat for anything other than warmth or perhaps a royal wedding or a horse race. So hats off to these dames and let the procession begin!
You have found a lot of beautiful ladies. About the hats : the most beautiful is the stunning red hat that is on Lana Turner's head. Only a really beautiful lady such as Lana Turner can "challenge" to wear such bold and flamboyant red hat (and gloves). With it Lana Tuner is as hot as a hot summer Spanish afternoon!
Ana Maria, that was the very last photo I came up with and I loved it, too! Lana tended to be more of a scarf/turban girl, but she could obviously rock a hot, too! I think Miss Gloria Swanson gives her a run for her money, too, though. And those eyes....!
While some photos of Gloria Swanson are tied to the ideals of the era, your selected shot shows that her beauty was timeless. Also, its nice to see Gina Lollobrigida whenever one has the chance. And what did your Easter bonnet look like?
;-) Scooter, I started with an ice pack as I'd been up late the night before celebrating the ownership anniversary of a small town bar. Then I segued into a ballcap in order to putter around in the yard before heading to my parents'. Dull, dull, dull, I know, but that's why I toil in The Underworld... to bring a little glitz and fun to the proceedings!

"Thank you for your nice message, and for the link to your blog. I had actually seen your blog before - a friend showed it to me a year or two ago. You clearly have an intense and wonderful passion for cult and genre cinema... Thank you for joining my page, and for sharing your passion for EARTHQUAKE and other films of that remarkable era in our industry. My husband would have gotten a huge kick out of it! "I just discovered your profile about me and my career. I was flattered and very happy with the photos (some I had never seen) and your talented style of writing. As a gesture of thanks, I would like to send you a signed copy of my book. I think you would enjoy it. So if you would like one or a signed photo, let me know with an address I can send it to. - Sincerely, Mark Goddard" (via e-mail) Tribute to Mark

Awesome! It makes me wish I could pull off some of those hats!
