Just a quite note to wish for all my readers the happiest of holiday seasons as we experience Christmas and spy New Year's Eve in the near future. I happened to deck the halls in a bigger way than usual this year only to have a freak snowstorm cancel a planned dinner party I'd been anticipating! Then, without warning, a surgery I had slated for mid-February was moved up to December 18th! Since then I've been working from home and recuperating there -- and am, as a result, grateful that I had festooned the place over the prior weeks. It makes for a more cozy and cheerful atmosphere to have all the little doodads out and about. No need to be concerned about me. I'm fine and will soon be back to my crazy self. In the meantime, I will share a few snaps from my place, finished off by a frenzied tour of my Hollywood-themed Christmas tree. Be well and be happy till next time!

It all looks glorious! Wishing you a speedy recovery, babe x
Hello, Poseidon. The photos are wonderful and so elegant. I wish you a quick recovery, Thank you for another great post.
Your trees are awesome! Be well and Happy New Year!
Thank you for sharing that fabulous tree. And it’s good to know you have plenty of medicine on hand in the form of yummy cookies.
Your posts are such a treat. The analyses of movies and TV shows are always entertaining and well written. I especially appreciate your bios of familiar but lesser known actors, always interesting and respectful.
A Happy and healthy New Year to you!
bitter69uk, thanks very much! I'm definitely on the mend. Not even taking anything for pain starting today. :-)
vinboy, I appreciate it. I sort of walk a line between the elegant and the tacky. Ha ha!! In more ways than holiday decor, lemme tell you. Thanks for your support.
Dean, thank you! I sometimes want to chuck it all and not bother, but then in the dark of December I'm glad to have the twinkle lights aglow. Take care.
Dan, I really have overdosed on cookies and other things. And... I am not permitted to exercise much, though I will be soon. That's a recipe for fitness disaster! But I always start each new year with goals. So I'll be back on it soon. Most of the cookies in these pics were made for various occasions prior to my being sidelined. But I certainly haven't starved. Your remarks about my blog and writing style are a true holiday gift to me! Very much appreciated. Thanks very much and have a wondrous NYE of your own.
Love the tree! Wasn't able to view the video :( Thank you for your this great website. Thank you for your charm and wit. Thank you for loving what you love, and projecting it out to us all in a way that makes me feel the love too. Oh, and often the lust, thank you for the naughty, lusty posts. Your words and images add up to so much!
Saw the video! Wow! You have so many. The Howdy Doody one, can't believe they made that one. Your tree is very cool! Me on the other hand, I made pornaments this year. Cut out images of old 70's porn actors. Put a backing on them and 'hung' them. Except my husband made me put Santa hats on the bits. So I did that, but making sure the Santa hat pointed in the right ways. One of my Christmas guest removed all the hats. They were instructed to put them back within minutes of the discovery. Not by me of course.
I love the decorations and really impressed by the culinary skills!
I missed this! I hope your holiday has been pleasant and that your recovery is going smoothly! I'm easing into clean living myself, funny how easy it is to backslide. Cheers to you and your blog is always a fun bright spot for me. Happy 2026, my best, Rick!
Shawny, I truly appreciate that you get so much out of ol' P.U. I always wish I had more time to produce even more content, but at this stage in my life and career, it just doesn't seem possible. (And after all, my fat mouth has been running for over 16 years now, so much has been covered!) I picked up Howdy Doody one year, not even being a particular fan, but thinking it was neat and then was gobsmacked a while later when I was in an antique mall and saw Buffalo Bob!! I love having the two together. I do weird little associations on the tree like having JR Ewing and Jeannie next to one another because he was Tony and I always have Fonzie next to the shark from "Jaws" since the whole term "jumping the shark" originated from an ep of "Happy Days." Still and all, I bet your tree got closer scrutiny than mine....!!!! Ha ha! Thanks!
Gingerguy, thank you! My reindeer cookies looked a bit like deranged moose, but the fam still ate em up. They were round Nutter Butters, not Oreos, which gave them a yummy choc/peanut butter combo. Happy New Year to you!
Rick, I am on the mend. I returned to the office yesterday (and if you recall the first season of "Charlie's Angels" opening credits wherein Farrah gets done typing a report and then someone plops a huge stack next to her to do next, then you know how my day went! LOL) I foresee only minor overall effect on my ear, but it was truly painful for a good week or so. I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Thanks!!
