Oh, I hope I didn't get your hopes up too high with that post title. Here's the deal... I am closing in on six years of near-constant, often labor-intensive, blog entries. While I do occasionally complain about the workload and the lack of time I have to produce posts, I have never gone longer than about a week and a half without something put up. Till now.
Not only is my job in the housing materials industry and building/remodeling season is now upon us, but I've also gone and gotten myself a leading role in an upcoming stage musical (and it's NOT going particularly smoothly overall...) So it is with regret that I must inform you of a brief hiatus from The Underworld. I'm becoming quite overwhelmed.
This is far from the end, however. I promise to be back by Memorial Day with my annual tribute to summer swimwear and modeled by the famous and infamous! If I find that I can post something in-between, too, I will! But I suspect it will be difficult to do so. I just didn't want to leave y'all hanging without any word as to what's going on around here. Thanks for your continued support and readership. I adore all my online pals who come here regularly and I shall return asap!

Thanks Poseidon! You make the blog world a better place. I look forward to a speedo extravaganza. Hope all your endeavors go swimmingly too.
I'll miss your always entertaining posts, but you deserve a break!
Good-luck with the show...you tantalisingly didn't reveal what show!
cheers
Paul
Yes, by all means, take a break! We will miss you but all the anticipation will make the reunion even sweeter. :-)
Enjoy your break and I hope you steal the show!
I'll be looking forward to Memorial Day.
Oh Poseidon I feel your pain. After 5 years or so blogging (and clocking up over 1,400 posts) I often feel I have done enough and can't go on, but I always find lots more to write about - but then I am retired and have plenty of time. Enjoy all your other endeavors and come back refreshed. Its nice to have a break and focus on other things.
Have a great time! Hmm, Memorial Day, summer swimwear... A patriotic theme, perhaps? The only thing that comes to mind right now though, is Mark Spitz in his Speedo. Which isn't bad mind you.
Whatever, we can't wait!
Completely understandable in needing to take a break though your absence will be felt.
Break a leg with the show and looking forward to the swimsuit return!
not to worry - relax
Poseidon, good luck and thanks for all the great posts!
Will keep an eye for future Poseidon fun, you bookmarked as a favorite, Mister!
Rick
Enjoy the "break" though it doesn't sound particularly restful!
Hi Poseidon ! I very rarely comment but I visit at least once a week, your blog is one of my favorite blogs... I hope all will go well with your show (and in your work), I'm looking forward to reading (watching !) your next post... In the meantime I will read the older ones... Thank you !!
Oh, no!!!...Without your postings, I'm going to have start focusing my attention on things like house-cleaning and exercise instead.
Best of luck with all your projects!!!
I look forward to your return.
It does my heart good to see all the outpouring of goodwill, encouragement and so forth from my faithful readers! Thank you so much. Things are still really crazy... You know, work from 7:30am - 4:30pm, then just a brief window of time before heading off to the theatre, where I remain until after 11:00pm! Then start it all over again. Mama's draggin' butt this week especially. I'm hoping that my hiatus will lead to some creativity when I'm finally back, like a dog that's been held back and is finally set free! ;-)
Mark, I have yet to officially "come out" on this blog. I keep waiting until I feel like I've lost enough weight and look good enough to emerge from the depths of The Underworld and not disappoint any curious followers... but, see, that might be quite a while before I'm satisfied enough!! LOL Maybe on this year's anniversary @ August. So that's why I haven't discussed the show. But I will reveal that I am the male lead (and, no, it's not "The Hunchback of Notre Dame!") See y'all soon!!
