I mentioned quite a few posts ago that I would soon be presenting a collection of Sean Connery photos and today I am finally going to make good on that promise. Mr. C. was once a figure model and competitive bodybuilder (back when such contests didn't involve so much bulk and veins showing on the outside of the skin!) before turning to acting. He kept his physique for a long time, with shirtless movie scenes occurring when he was in his fifties. As the first big-screen James Bond, he had the chance to canoodle with countless curvaceous female costars, too, often dressed in very little. Fans of hairy chests are in for a treat. Others proceed at your own risk!

The end! |
Very nice collection of Mr. Connery. The first picture is quite striking and he was always very willing to take his shirt off however I think the picture of him in the sweats from around the time of Outland is where he looks sexiest. I don't think his special allure comes through in photos though. It's the combination of his attractiveness, charisma and that wonderful Scottish burr that always made him seem like the total package, although that legendary temper is a deterrent. He deserves to enjoy his retirement but I was sorry when he decided to stop making films.
ReplyDeleteI will second the motion of the sweats! Though I would gladly take him at any age, I thought he never looked better or more rugged than when he did Outland. I'd do anything to squeeze into those sweats with him. Ruff.
ReplyDeleteSean Connery is the epitome of manly sexiness. He looks great today and he is over 80. Again, aging gracefully is the way to do things, unlike, say, a Bruce Jenner or a Mickey Rourke, with their orange-tinged skin and their faces tugged and stretched and molded into a look of permanent horror...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Sean Connery film has always been "The Man Who Would Be King." Mid-1970s. Connery and Michael Caine give stunning best-buddy performances, and there is even a nano-second nude shot of Connery as the royal robes are being slipped onto his body. I love that movie -- a manly movie in every way, and its mixture of high adventure and male bonding is beautiful. Years earlier, it could easily have been cast with Clark Gable in the Connery role and Spencer Tracy in the Caine role, it is that kind of movie.
Hello friends! I'm smiling at the notion that with nearly fifty shirtless photos of Mr. C., the one of him in sweats (and nearing middle age!) is a favorite, but, you know what? I liked that one, too, very much and that's why it's in here! I put one of him in his 007 tux and a strong face pic or two, but most of the others are scantily-clad. There was something about his rugged, manly, yet accessible look in those sweats that I loved. I ought to try to find a better version of the photo... Glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteJust watched him last night with Gina Lollobrigida in "woman of straw." Some great, if not brief, swimsuit shots. Exceptional man......
ReplyDeletePoseidon, you really outdid yourself with this collection. This is my favorite collection of pictures on this site. I know cause I keep going down the list over and over, again and again.
ReplyDeleteThere's an old [and very raunchy] Cuban saying that comes to mind when I look at Sean in this collection. It translates into English quite well, but this is a classy joint.
First time commenting:
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd let you know that I drop in from time to time and check out what's up. Can't believe how much your blog and mine share such similar themes. In fact, just a few days ago, I posted a similar photo of Sean from "Dr. No" on mine.
I admire the energy you put into each posting. Keep up the great work and the great photos, the majority of which I have never seen before.
Cheers!
Had no idea Connery was a beefcake model in his youth. He's certainly very striking. Remember seeing him as a child for the first time in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" and being quite taken that this Disney movie had advanced so significantly from the anemic Tommy Kirk and Dean Jones types to a full grown male. Great pics collected here!
ReplyDeleteHi, again, folks! I have had no luck in finding a better photo of Sean in his "Outland" sweats. I did find one I liked of him in his uniform, brandishing a rifle, and added that to the mix, though.
ReplyDeleteChris and Knuckles, thanks so much for coming by and for commenting! Knuckles, I looked for your blog, but somehow couldn't come up with it by clicking your name (but then I am at like level 2 out of 10 when it comes to navigating!)
NotFelix, we're not THAT classy! LOL Say what you please...
Ken, I also saw "Darby O'Gill" in re-release as a child and was dumbstruck. He was a step up from David Hartman in "Island at the Top of the World," that's for sure! Ha!
During the past couple of weeks, I've been wandering through some of your older postings (as time permits) and I have to admit that they are quite informative and rather extensive. A lot of care goes into your writing and compiling of photos.
ReplyDeleteMy blog is nowhere near this detailed. It was created solely to entertain friends with a quick daily laugh or a stroll down memory lane. Actually, my first blog suffered a tragic fate and had to be deleted. This new one hasn't been up that long (less than a year)
Presently, I'm celebrating National Photography Month (Girlyskirt-style) April proved to be a challenge as I celebrated National Poetry Month (again, Girlyskirt-style). By all means feel free to visit if you want at the following link:

Only, keep in mind, I have a completely different approach: Simple, offbeat, and humorously quirky...(at least, that's my intention)
As for you, keep up the excellent work and continue posting those amazing photos...and I will comment now and then (if that's all right with you) I'm glad I accidentally stumbled upon your Underworld.
Long live everything pre-1984!
Knuckles, please forgive the very belated response to your comment above. I'm crazy right now with work, this blog and Hell Week for a show I'm in that opens tonight!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I enjoyed your blog a lot!! It's hilarious and quirky and fun. I really appreciate your remarks about the care I put into The Underworld because I think only someone who has attempted to sustain a blog for an extended time really knows how hard it can be to do. I always feel bad that my posts are few and far between, but when they come out, they are often gargantuan and filled with pictures. :-)
And I LOVE getting comments around here so never hesitate! Thanks.
full nude frontal anyone help me with that? video or photo. PLEASE!!!!🤗🤗🤗
