Then to see his incredibly handsome and sexy person (so tall, too!) was a bit overwhelming, I was quite transfixed.

Thank you for this very illuminating post (& for the shirtless pics).Milohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09502294596069406685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-32741970084025858152018-05-13T20:48:29.464-04:002018-05-13T20:48:29.464-04:00Tom, that issue was published/dated May 25th, 1946...Tom, that issue was published/dated May 25th, 1946.Poseidon3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10465785002285422594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-68437791550033502542018-05-13T20:13:42.248-04:002018-05-13T20:13:42.248-04:00I am a big fan of George Sanders and I love your b...I am a big fan of George Sanders and I love your blog about him. Do you have information about the date of the Picturegoer Magazine cover with George's photo on it? I have tried but I can't decipher the date. He seemed to be a dedicated ladykiller. But you know what they say, "Scratch an actor and you'll find an actress!" LOL

Thanks for your comments, guys. The great thing about George is there are always more Sanders performances to be discovered, as he was so prolific - did any actor do more in the '50s, well apart from Vincent Price or Tony Quinn?
I saw 2 more George's yesterday: the 1954 Witness to Murder with Stanwyck, an efficient little programmer, and the 1959 A Touch of Larceny, a nice comedy with Mason and Vera Miles. '59 was a good year for him: Solomon and Sheba with Lollo and That Kind of Woman with Loren! I love those costumers he turned out: The King's Thief, King Richard and the Crusaders, Ivanhoe, Moonfleet, The Red Coat, etc. I must re-watch The Kremlin Letter. And I agree about his ending his life when he decided it was time.Michael O'Sullivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17820802843771524920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-51959923980840807512011-05-25T23:05:26.476-04:002011-05-25T23:05:26.476-04:00Last time I watched All About Eve, I thought WOW, ...Last time I watched All About Eve, I thought WOW, is he sexy!
(guilty admission: I was hoping there was some gaiety in his background, but no such luck, apparently)
Cool to read more about him, and I have to say, his method of ending his life when he began to feel old and infirm was (IMO) entirely appropriate.AKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02084216883655540363noreply@blogger.com
