Sometimes I focus on the macabre or the scandalous or even the sordid, but this one was just plain sad. I, too, wish she could have received more of the happiness that she meted out during her short life. Thanks!Poseidon3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10465785002285422594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-62290865301235411572021-11-22T23:20:04.048-05:002021-11-22T23:20:04.048-05:00I grew up watching Anissa. I even had a coat from her clothing line. I envied her fame, never knowing, of course, what it was really like for her. I'll never forget that day when I saw the newspaper and learned what had happened to her. So terribly sad. Wish she could have had happiness.michelmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09347075866481277657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-11001798571423497992017-07-16T19:50:54.207-04:002017-07-16T19:50:54.207-04:00one of my favorite opening credits is the one for ...one of my favorite opening credits is the one for family affair. since seeing him in a twilight zone episode, i've always harbored an attraction for sebastian cabot. i can't explain it, but it's there.

one of the funniest stories i ever heard was when johnnie whittaker relayed that he tried to reconnect with keith shortly before keith's death and keith wondered who the hell whittaker was. i guess working together for five years as pseudo father and son does not make the heart grow fonder.

anissa's tragedy anguishes me, but it's a reminder that the magic of hollywood can't always be translated into the lives of the actors away from the camera.petercox97https://www.blogger.com/profile/05818754297522029991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-49141402437474065992016-11-02T13:00:47.688-04:002016-11-02T13:00:47.688-04:00What became of her mother? The older I get, the more resistant I am to having a gravesite that might one day be forgotten, overgrown or - worse yet - leveled for some reason (a highway? LOL) Then again, I'm not famous! BTW, I was slated to be part of a podcast interview with Cathy "Cissy" Garver, but technical difficulties on her end caused it to fall through. It would have been neat to speak to someone who knew Jones intimately.Poseidon3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10465785002285422594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-79644333934590475932016-10-09T07:42:57.813-04:002016-10-09T07:42:57.813-04:00WoW, Cremated, dumped into the ocean, Poof ...gone...WoW, Cremated, dumped into the ocean, Poof ...gone. Thanks for this in-depth coverage about the young Anissa. I agree there was something about her character's pragmatism that not every child actor could portray so naturally. Apparently her mother kept Anissa working non-stop during the "Family Affair" days. There was a weekend where they took off for New York after filming ended on Friday afternoon, where Anissa appeared on TV or in a parade or something. They they flew to St. Louis for Sunday to have her promote a clothing line, and then she was back on the set first thing Monday morning. Apparently this sort of schedule was not unusual for her.Colonel Potterbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851402097041924668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-79578468658134856962011-02-02T14:12:57.293-05:002011-02-02T14:12:57.293-05:00Her story fascinates me because of the excess in d...Her story fascinates me because of the excess in drug use coupled with a frugality when it came to finance!

Great article as always.Philip Mershonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05641146738422887485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-56436551085465304952011-01-31T16:25:38.609-05:002011-01-31T16:25:38.609-05:00a singer friend of mine was a "re-run" i...a singer friend of mine was a "re-run" in this group back in the 80s.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ripXfJc3Jknormadesmondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17325110017442011627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-60976539172839172792011-01-31T14:53:08.698-05:002011-01-31T14:53:08.698-05:00What a heartbreaking story!
