I guess I wasn't watching much TV then and having some coming-of-age adventures of my own.

Anson Williams? Eve Plumb? John Beck? I wouldn't have missed it!

And you are right-on about Rita Gam. Really good B-movie actress who had a few big parts after being Gracie's maid of honor...then she wrote a few really fun books sharing lots of Hollywood anecdotes.

So much fun, as always!
-Chris
angelman66https://www.blogger.com/profile/16471674180789592940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-12133180523895467702015-06-05T10:21:39.365-04:002015-06-05T10:21:39.365-04:00So for the last two days I have been frying my bra...So for the last two days I have been frying my brain trying to remember what John Lazar called himself during the dramatic finale of "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls"....it was "Superwoman"...phew! How did that guy ever find work again? In these pics he looks like Jimmy Fallon wearing a headband.Gingerguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17989371210392669145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-88519921948702790882015-06-04T21:26:56.148-04:002015-06-04T21:26:56.148-04:00How come I've never heard of this???How come I've never heard of this???Knuckles Girlyskirthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18113945990776276595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-77759542051907209542015-06-04T21:07:14.072-04:002015-06-04T21:07:14.072-04:00Welcome back! You were missed.

I've never seen this particular piece of television "art" but it does remind me of many productions that have been churned out in a similar vein. It makes you think "Did they ever look at the rushes?" "How low could the budget possibly have been if this is the best they could do?" It can be painful though to see quality performers like Victor Jory or Richard Mulligan trapped in this sort of junk. However sometimes these types of "entertainments" are fun to watch for their sheer dreadfulness. Thanks for watching this one for us to spare us the pain.
joel65913https://www.blogger.com/profile/14526657073681774683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-68744146314750907752015-06-04T16:08:29.591-04:002015-06-04T16:08:29.591-04:00I laughed out loud at "Death Valley branch of...I laughed out loud at "Death Valley branch of U-Store-It." So apt!

I had the biggest crush on John Beck's furry chest. Thanks for saving me the time in watching this, as I can't tell you the number of horrible things I've sat through just to catch a glimpse of it, as well as the hirsute torsos of many others.

Thanks for all of your work!sowhatelsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00230334663445356942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-29363234854274220392015-06-03T21:31:57.683-04:002015-06-03T21:31:57.683-04:00It looks like this out-camped Cecil B. Ann Turkel looks beautiful as always, and handsome Jay Hammer looks weird.
On Hollywood Squares the question was, "Who's considered the greatest actor alive today"? Paul Lynde quipped: Anson Williams! He's another one who never got any respect.
I hope Lew Ayres, always a favorite of mine, ended his career on a higher note.
Thanks for a hilarious post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-28000081454976030492015-06-03T16:11:49.497-04:002015-06-03T16:11:49.497-04:00Good Lord! I don't know who looks more out of place, Richard Mulligan or John Schuck, I think Schuck wins. High-larious about Potsie and his wife. Similarly "Roots" was also populated with tv people who looked so strange in period clothing. Daniel Travanti is one of my favorite hot Daddy types, so nice to see him anytime. And never would have recognized "Jonas Wilkerson" from GWTW. Poor Eve Plumb, her characters never got any respect! Thanks Poseidon Gingerguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17989371210392669145noreply@blogger.com
