These covers are really great, but I howled (albeit, ashamedly) at the Annette comment. Just priceless!Ken Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04940648971296673233noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-13560337197608697772013-04-26T18:16:41.451-04:002013-04-26T18:16:41.451-04:00No Poseidon, it is not "too soon," to wo...No Poseidon, it is not "too soon," to wonder why Annette Funicello has such a bad make-up job, allowing her pussy to upstage her... At second glance, I must still shake my head at what a really bad make-up job (or lack of it) it was.

And Ricky Nelson, OMG! O...M...G Such kissable lips and he had a very hairy chest.

Robert Wagner's hairdo in Prince Valiant must really have sent shockwaves of hilarity throughout the country at the time, because my parents still make cracks about it.

While watching Wagner on TCM recently, my mother barked to my father, "Remember his stupid hair?"

"Yeah, 'Prince Valiant,' what a dud," he replied. "He never lived that down."

"He looked like Ella Raines..."Narcisohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05145756558278365203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-382179614979651072013-04-24T20:01:59.182-04:002013-04-24T20:01:59.182-04:00NotFelix, it's actually Leona Gage on the &quo...NotFelix, it's actually Leona Gage on the "Tales of Terror" comic. I don't know why I didn't identify her the way I do practically everyone else around here! LOL She had a very colorful and calamitous life if you ever look her up.

Speaking of filling out tights, Fernando Lamas in the very first cover for "The Lost World" seems to be straining a tad! Thank you!!Poseidon3https://www.blogger.com/profile/10465785002285422594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4006108502645191096.post-7126899633585432012013-04-24T18:12:56.945-04:002013-04-24T18:12:56.945-04:00Great collection! And, congratulations on returning to the stage.

If I am not mistaken, the girl on the Edgar Allen Poe, "Tales of Horror" comic, is none other than my beloved Barbara Steele of classic horror film and TV fame. She's still going at it today with an indie film project called, "The Butterfly Room" which I'm dying to see.

The collection of stellar hunks is amazing. My two favorites are Lloyd Bridges from Sea Hunt and Sam J Jones from Flash Gordon. I would have gone diving with Lloyd Bridges any day of the week.

As to Sam, anyone that has seen his Play Girl spread knows he really was filling those tights in Flash Gordon.

Of the Tarzan's my favorite is still Gordon Scott. If he was good enough for Vera he's good enough for me! :-)NotFelixUngerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04812102754911699275noreply@blogger.com
